How to Set up Automatic Replies for Facebook Recommendations

You may have noticed that Facebook recently changed their user review platform.

Facebook is now calling them “recommendations” and have changed from 1-5 star ratings to a “Yes or No” recommendation for a business that requires a comment from the user.

As a business owner, those recommendations are really important to building a positive reputation, building social proof about how awesome you are, and improving your search ranking in Facebook and Google!  You need to always stay on top of what is happening in those review platforms so you fully understand how to direct and engage your users in the process.

To help you out, Facebook recently launched a new feature that allows businesses to automatically reply to Facebook users that leave a recommendation about your business right through Messenger.

You’ll find this new feature located in the inbox of your business page and I’ve got an easy to follow tutorial right here for you that will take you step by step through the process of setting up these automated replies.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when you are creating your responses:

  • Because these arrive in Messenger, keep your responses short and sweet
  • Personalize your responses so they don’t feel generic when read
  • Use a custom graphic or photo that reflects your brand and your emotion based on the yes or no recommendation
